1. Tunnels Beach & Tunnels Beach Access Road

Two alleyways lead to Tunnels Beach (main one is shown marked in blue, while the other one is a short distance further up.

2. Ha’ena Beach Park

Ha’ena Beach is the next beach and connects to Tunnels Beach along the coastline. Your best Tunnels Beach parking option is the Haena Beach Park parking lot, relatively large and completely free!

Also, Haena Beach Park has facilities: restrooms, lifeguards, showers, grass park, picnic tables and pavilions.

3. Hanalei

Hanalei, on the north shore of Kauai, is the closest town, and you can rent equipment for your water activities here, including surfboards, snorkeling gear, life jackets and more!

You can also stop here to grab a bite.

4. Maniniholo Dry Cave

Just across Kuhio Highway from the Haena Beach Park parking lot is Maniniholo Dry Cave, a large cavern that’s fun for kids to explore, but make sure you have a torch.

5. Limahuli Garden & Preserve

Limahuli Garden & Preserve is a few miles further up on Kuhio Highway, and is one of the best botanical gardens on Kauai.

6. Ke’e Beach & Ha’ena State Park

At the end of Kuhio Highway is Ha’ena State Park, home to the trailhead for Kalalau Trail, a famous trail along the Na Pali coast, and Ke’e Beach, one of the prettiest beaches on Kauai.

Ha’ena State Park requires reservations for entry and parking (or shuttles).
